Randy writing this post. After typing optimistic words the last couple of days, I must now report Gary is having a tough day. The doctors predicted this would be the day he feels the full effect of the chemo therapy and the stem cell transplant, and such seems to be the case. Although Gary is uncomfortable, it is nice to know the treatment is going as anticipated by the doctors. I believe this bodes well for the cure! The patient missed out on sleep last night, and is experiencing nausea this morning. The swelling of the throat persists. The nurses are in often and doing what they can to make Gary comfortable. They just installed a morphine delivery system. Patty and I stayed at Uncle Ronnie and Gloria’s house last night. They were great hosts and we played a fun game of Scrabble. Does the owner of the board always make up the rules? Gary seems to be getting some sleep, thanks to the morphine. He’ll probably have his nights and days mixed up for a while.
